History

Dutchland Woods was originally the site of a distillery, which was part of a 265-acre farm running south from Princeton Road along the railroad tracks. Records indicate taxes were paid as early as 1846. The White House was built in 1854 for $1,000. The farm’s only entrance was from Princeton Road, though this drive is now a walking path for residents. Construction of the subdivision began in 1971.
