The White House was originally built over 150 years ago, but serves today as the Community Center of Dutchland Woods. In 1980, it was renovated by members of the Dutchland Woods community to serve as a total recreational facility. It is situated on 12 acres of wooded picnic grounds, bordering a 2.2 acre pond (Janie Lake).
The White House features: a semi-formal living room with a grand fireplace, a central party room with tables and chairs, a dance floor, a well-equipped bar, a recently remodeled kitchen, an outdoor patio with picnic area and grill, on the second floor is the DWPOA office, a large storage area, and finally a mirrored room recently opened for guests.
The White House is available for rent by association members and non-members for private functions. These facilities are also used by the community for neighborhood-wide functions and events.
